The Dollar Tree for the Debutante
Hello and Happy Fri-YAY:
I am so looking forward to another fantastic weekend in paradise!
For once I have no set plans so the world is my oyster! But you can be sure I will have a glass or two of rose'!!!!
Now, I know the Dollar Tree store is not the fanciest, cleanest or most exciting shopping destination...but it is worth a visit when you are looking to save a few $$$$.
Do not confuse Dollar General for the Dollar Tree....Dollar General is a retailer where items start at $1 and go up. At the Dollar Tree EVERYTHING in the store is 1$.
I ventured to this store this morning to pick up some nick-nacks and just see what was going on.
The store does change its inventory on a seasonal basis. Today it was a "Back to School" and 'Fall" theme. A great stop for back to school supplies. Plenty of 3 ring binders, journals, erasers, pencils, stickers. All for 1$!!!! Much more cost effective than going to Office Depot or Staples.
*Thrifty Tip:
Halloween is a great Holiday to shop at Dollar Tree! Plenty of yard decorations and goodies to choose from!
I always beeline for the gift wrap aisle and then the dish ware aisle.
The Dollar Tree never disappoints me with the variety of gift wrap, tissue paper and gift bags. (again all for $1!!!) A gift bag at Publix or Target will start at $2.99 or higher!
So load up and keep a large inventory at home!
Now onto the dish and glass ware! An entire aisle of coffee mugs, soup bowls, wine glasses (not fancy ones), dishes, plastic ware you name it! The Dollar Tree is a great spot if you host multiple themed parties throughout the year. For example, I host an OktoberFest party and there are a few different types of Beer mugs and Steins to choose from. And of a couple are lost or broken I am only out a few $$.
In closing Darlings, do not overlook this hidden gem....take some time..wear casual clothes and have an open creative mind!
