Happy Taco Tuesday!!!
It amazes me how I can live in the same neighborhood for 3 years and not have known about in my opinion the best local Taco restaurant. Taqueria Guerrero is located in the Belmart Publix Plaza on Belvedere Road. It is tucked behind McDonalds and next to the Liquor store...it really is a hidden gem.
My boyfriend has been on a taco kick for 2 weeks! So I knew I had to start researching and finding our local "taqueria" and luckily for me it is only 3 min drive!
It is a simple, well it, no frills local restaurant. I have been there 4 times now and it varies on how many tables are occupied. Sunday night we had to wait a few moments for a table! The menu is vast and covers all the typical Mexican plates like carne asada, nachos and fajitas. For the more adventurous on the menu is Cornish game hens, beef tongue tacos, BBQ goat and fried beef tripe. We chose to stick to the more simple route. Tacos were fresh, toppings plentiful and no additional sauces were needed. All with a nice cold Pacifica cerveza to wash it down. Chips and mild/hot salsa is placed on table as soon as you sit. Service was attentive and our food came out quickly. Best of all the prices you can not beat!!! (compare to Roccos Tacos and Banko Cantina, which breaks my bank!)
I look forward to becoming a regular at Taqueria Guerrero.
