A Lady who Lunched at Serenity Tea House

Hello and Happy Thirsty Thursday Darlings:

The Thrifty Debutante was a lady who lunches yesterday afternoon with a wonderful business associate.

With all the stress during the work week it was a welcome pleasure to have mid-day tea at the Serenity Garden and Tea House in West Palm Beach.

A peaceful vintage oasis located along busy Dixie Hwy just south of the Norton Art Museum.

Once you walk inside I promise you will feel instantly transported to a by-gone era. Mis-matched tea sets, floral wall paper, soft 1930s music playing in the background, delicious smells, vintage hats (which you can wear during tea service), the quiet maneuvering of the tea servers I was hooked.

The menu features an abundant amount of various teas, it is hard to pick one!

My partner and I decided on the pineapple, coconut, blackberry chai, lapsong mouchong with Madagascar vanilla.

Say that 3 times fast! For a light nibble we went with the Tea sandwich selection (finger sandwiches that included chicken salad, tuna, egg and a tomato/herb). Their menu includes daily soups, daily quiches, salads and a variety of sandwiches.

After the tea was poured into my dainty porcelain cup, nibble on my tea sandwich then the outside world disappeared. We launched into a lively conversation and a few fits of giggles.

Truly a magical afternoon where I felt like a real Lady.

Serenity Tea was opened in 1998 by Irish born, Audrey Farrelly. She was there greeting tables and guests. It is easy to catch her cheerfulness and passion.

*Thrifty Tip:

Happy Hour is served from 2-4pm. $4 glasses of wine and $5 pots of tea.

Also the Norton Art Museum is free for the Summer during new construction!

Tea + Art= A FABULOUS AFTERNOON

Make sure to check their Facebook page as she does host special events, like Bitch and Stitch.

(Bitch sessions with your best gals pals while learning to create a special gift).

So Ladies don your pearls, fancy heels, a fun dress and head to the local Tea House and Garden.

Who know you might spot The Thrifty Debutante.

xoxoxo for now,

The Thrifty Debutante
