Hollywood, FL a perfect Staycation

I need a monthly get away to keep my Wanderlust under control Luckily I live in Sunny South Florida so taking an impromptu road trip is easily achieved! I had 2 amazing friends visiting from Ohio and we decided to check out the new Jimmy Buffet Margaritaville Resort.

Hollywood, FL is reviving and reinventing the chill laid back beach compared to Fort Lauderdale and Miami, What I love about Hollywood Beach is the 3 mile long waterfront boardwalk. Plenty of shops, sightseeing and tiki bars to visit. And the prices of food and drinks are half the cost of Miami!

The resort was amazing and I did look for the lost shaker of salt! Huge open lobby, fun gift shop, 3 pools (one adult only) Landshark Bar and of course the infamous Margaritaville Restaurant. We spent the day at the adult pool. And of course some fruity cocktails!!!! The weather was perfect, slight breeze, a couple of moving clouds, and Jimmy Buffet music playing softly in the background!

Walking the Hollywood Boardwalk will offer some amazing people watching. Lots of families, tourists, roller bladers and bikers!! Grab a stool at any of the beach bars and just relax!!! One of my fav to visit it the Bonny and Reade's Pirate Bar. Its cheap, kinda dirty and pirate themed! Its always a swashbuckling good time :)

Hollywood Beach is very laid back and casual. No need to dress up. It was a welcoming feeling to be able to totally relax with good friends.

It was sad to wave our goodbyes but now I have a lifetime of new memories!!!
