The Everglades Gala

It’s Rose’ Sunday! I hope you all are having a nice chilled glass somewhere fabulous!
Last night was The Everglades Gala. Its a glorious event to raise money for the preservation of the Florida Everglades, a very critical eco-system.
This year the performer was Steven Tyler of Aerosmith so all guests were encouraged to dress “Rocker Chic”. Over 800 fabulous Palm Beachers in attendance. The event was sponsored by Lacoste and had a beautiful couple playing ping pong and entertaining the guests. Cocktail hour was held in the courtyard and then the sit down dinner in the Ponce Ballroom. Bryan Gumbel was the MC of the evening. Bu the party really started once Steven Tyler took stage! His voice and stage presence is second to none. A true Rock Star!!!! All the guests were rocking their hearts out!
The fundraising goal of $500,000 was met in under 5 minutes!
This Thrifty Debutante finally whisked herself away slightly before midnight like Cinderella.
And tonight I am returning to the Palm Beach Fine Art, Antique and Jewelry show. A girl can dream about one day owning the vintage Cartier diamonds!!!
